Member Profile : Romania : Romanian Society of PsychoNeuroEndocrinology (RPNES)
The Romanian Society of PsychoNeuroEndocrinology (RPNES) was founded in November 1990 at the initiative of Prof. Dr. Mihail Coculescu.
This academic society is an expression of the history of the Romanian Society of Endocrinology which was founded in 1938 by a neuropsychiatrist, C. I. Parhon. He founded in the same year the scientific journal of the society named Acta Endocrinologica - Bucharest. St. M. Milcu developed within the National Institute of Endocrinology “C. I. Parhon” a strong department of neuroendocrinology and encouraged M. Coculescu to found RPNES and to affiliate it to ISE.
